Data Deletion Instructions

Learn how to remove your data and disconnect social media accounts.

Effective date: April 14, 2026

Tap2CheckIn provides tools to manage and permanently delete your data, including data associated with third-party integrations like Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Follow the instructions below to remove your information from our systems.

1. Disconnecting Social Media Accounts

If you only wish to disconnect your Facebook or Instagram account and remove Tap2CheckIn's access to your social media data:

  • Log in to your Tap2CheckIn dashboard.
  • Navigate to the Social tab in the main menu.
  • Go to the Connections section.
  • Click the Disconnect or Remove button next to your connected Meta account.

Alternatively, you can remove our application's access directly from Facebook:

  • Go to your Facebook account's Settings & Privacy > Settings.
  • Select Business Integrations or Apps and Websites from the left menu.
  • Find the Tap2CheckIn app and click Remove.

2. Deleting Your Tap2CheckIn Account

To permanently delete your entire Tap2CheckIn account and all associated data (including connected social media tokens, SMS campaigns, business data, and check-in history):

  • Log in to your Tap2CheckIn dashboard.
  • Navigate to your Settings > General.
  • Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
  • Click on Delete Account and follow the confirmation prompts.

3. Manual Data Deletion Request

If you no longer have access to your account or prefer us to handle the deletion:

Please send an email to our support team at support@tap2check-in.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". In the body of the email, include the phone number or email address associated with your account. Due to security reasons, we may require you to verify your identity before processing the deletion.

Upon verification, we will securely wipe your data from our active databases and revoke all access tokens for connected social media accounts within 30 days.
